Du Pont VAZO no oxygen, stops

the initiator with polymer discoloration The answer is in the radical. DuPont VAZO® polymerization initiators, unlike organic peroxide, contain no oxygen atoms. Therefore, there is no oxygen ated residue. The free electron of the radical is on the carbon atom, so that radicals are less active. This means less hydrogen abstraction, branching, cross-linking and gel formation. The end result: polymers that are more linear and optically clearer. Pick the right VAZO® for your plastics and resins R&D. Whether your interest is in making polymers for new products or for improving existing ones, if it involves pigmented or dyed sys tems, or systems susceptible to hydrogen abstraction, one of these four VAZO® types is right for you:
