It is with great personal pleasure and justification that I publicly acknowledge the contributions to €S&T by the reviewers of Current Research manuscripts. Some journals publish the names of these valiant souls, and if it were not for the fact that we presumed upon over 400 of them in the past year alone we would proudly list their names here. The peer review system for research manuscript publication is a time-honored tradition in ACS journals. It has worked well in general, but in our case it has been the principal mechanism through which your editorial servants have been able to deal with a diversity of subject matter that is unparalleled in other ACS journals. The quality of the research reported in our Current Research pages is based on the efforts of these dedicated individuals who serve anonymously and without remuneration. We know them collectively as acknowledged experts in specific areas who are willing and able to be critical of the work of others, and who allocate a portion of their valuable time in order to meet our processing schedule and to stay abreast of our policy and style requirements. To each of these reviewers, from Katherine Biggs, David Hanson, Charles O'Melia, and me, and on behalf of our authors and readers whom they benefit primarily, a sincere thank you for your courteous and effective assistance.
