Chemical Education Today
Editor’s Note J. Chem. Educ. 2003, 80, 1158. The article “A Method for Generating Oxygen from Consumer Chemicals” (1) describes a method for generating oxygen and two tested demonstrations in which the burning of common household items are examined in the generated oxygen. It has come to our attention that similar procedures have been described elsewhere (2).
Contributions to the chemical education literature are continually developed; interested readers are encouraged to search online for more teaching resources. Literature Cited 1. Wright, S. W. J.
