Eight Peak Index of Mass Spectra, 3rd Edition T h e Eight Peak Index of Mass Spectra is the world's largest p r i n t e d index of mass spectral data! An excellent aid for identifying u n k n o w n compounds, it's also a convenient single point of entry to the various full mass spectral collections a n d mass spectral information appearing in scientific j o u r n a l s . This new index contains the eight most a b u n d a n t ions in 66,720 mass spectra, covering 52,332 c o m p o u n d s indexed by molecular weight, elemental composition a n d most abundant ions. Contains twice as many spectra as the previous addition. T h e Eight Peak Index of Mass Spectra can b e used for the identification of u n k n o w n c o m p o u n d s by
simply c o m p a r i n g mass spectral data of the u n k n o w n with the equivalent data of known c o m p o u n d s contained in the Eight Peak Index.

Spectra a p p e a r in ascending mol. wt. order, sub-indexed o n n u m b e r of carbon hydrogen, oxygen atoms, etc. For use with KNOWN mol. wt. or formula, UNKNOWN spectra. Volume 2, Parts 1 and 2—Molecular weight sub-indexed on fragment ion m/z values. Spectra a p p e a r in ascending mol. wt. order. For each mol. wt, spectra are g r o u p e d in increasing m/z of the most a b u n d a n t ion, UNKNOWN formula. Volume 3, Parts 1, 2, and 3—Fragment ion m/z values of the two most a b u n d a n t ions. Spectra a p p e a r in ascending order of m/z of the most a b u n d a n t ion followed by that same m/z of the 2nd most a b u n d a n t ion, while maintaining an ascending m/z for the most a b u n d a n t ion.
