MARK I Standard Model without fine temperature control and instant heat booster
*240 OPERATION: Uses established tech nique of melting samples at the bot tom of vertical capillary tubes. Up to three samples are placed in the shielded low heat capacity metal block, illuminated and viewed through a deep fixed focus lens. MELTING POINT BLOCK: Central vert ical hole receives the thermometer, and three holes equidistant from ther mometer bulb receive the capillary tubes. A borosilicate glass surrounding sleeve eliminates air currents. HEATING: The heating element yields i n f i n i t e l y v a r i a b l e rates of heating through coarse and fine control. A press button booster can over-ride the controls for maximum heat input when required. ILLUMINATION AND VIEWING: Light from two lamps is directed into block for maximum clarity with minimum glare. THERMOMETER: Specially designed to achieve the accuracy required over the entire range of 20° to 360° C. Spe cially-treated glass virtually eliminates risk of zero migration. Immersion of thermometer in block has been stand ardized at 34 mm. and allowance made for emergent stem during calibration. Write for full information and name of your local dealer
