Members of the Society who are unemployed or under notice of involuntary unemployment within sixty days, shall, upon stating the circumstances, giving the name of the company where last employed and date of termination, be allowed without charge one nondisplay situation wanted classified advertisement per issue for a maximum of six in a calendar year, not to exceed 50 words each (45 words plus 5-word box address or advertiser's name and address). Excess words charged at 25 cents per word. Members who arc retired shall be allowed three nondisplay insertions in a calendar year subject to the same conditions outlined above. Retired members may advertise for full or part-time positions or consulting work. Additional insertions after the free ones may be made at 25 cents per word. Nondisplay insertions by EMPLOYED Society members seeking full- or part-time positions or con­ sulting work and all nondisplay insertions by Student Affiliates of the Society shall be accepted at 25 cents per word for each insertion, no minimum charge. Individuals placing situations wanted advertisements should declare in letters of transmittal whether or not they arc Society members and whether or not they are retired (and 55 years of age or older) to ensure appearance of the advertisement in the proper classification. Nonmembers of the Society arc charged $1.15 per word, minimum charge $17-95· In printing these advertisements, the Society assumes no obligation as to qualifications of prospective employees or re­ sponsibilities of employers, nor does the Society endeavor to obtain information concerning the positions advertised, or of those seeking employment. Those replying to announcements with supporting documentation should send copies and not original documents. Every reasonable effort will be made to prevent forwarding of advertising circulars. Em­ ployers desiring applications on company forms should send duplicate copies.
