For example, shown here are two identically-loaded, solid urethane wheels-one based on polyester glycol, the other on TERACOL. In a high stress test, the wheel formulated with polyester glycol melted and failed dramatically within 13 minutes. The wheel with TERACOL, benefitting from reduced rolling resistance as a result of its lower internal friction, was still unaffected 17 hours later when the test was halted.
