AMBERLITE CG-400 (CI) Type I*, II** —strongly basic anion exchange resin deriving activity from quaternary amine groups. Supplied as the chloride salt. Application: Halogens, Alkaloids, Vitamin B-complexes, Fatty acids *Type I resin {100-200 mesh) suited for separation of materials differing a p p r e ciably in chemical properties. In such cases the particles are small enough to permit sharp separation, but coarse enough t o permit a reasonably fast flow rate. **Type II resin ( 2 0 0 - 4 0 0 mesh) suited for separation of materials related closely chemically, where sharp separations can only be achieved by using adsorbents o f extremely small particle size. ***Type III resin ( 4 0 0 - 6 0 0 mesh) avail able in AMBERLITE CG-120 and C G - 5 0 because of their specific utility in separat ing and identifying components o f com plex amino acid mixtures. pitals, chemical plants, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and food processing. The window, designed as an "aquar ium," is ready for mounting in a con crete wall of t h e radiation room. T h e glass is thick enough to confine the zinc bromide solution (2.5 times the density of water), and the inside pane is nonbrowning glass t o prevent dis coloration due t o radiation. Zinc bromide solution is important as a viewing medium, its shielding value being claimed t o be equal t o t h a t of a solid concrete wall. Light transmission has been recorded a t 8 0 % when view ing through two feet of zinc bromide solution, which shows no discrimina tion of the color spectrum. Four sizes of shielding windows are offered. All come in pre-engineered packages which include glass, frame, liner, solution, and manual of instruc tions. P-l 2
