CHROMEL FOR LONG, HARD SERVICE
I
FD MUFFLE FURNACE—Operates on A.C. or D.C. at usual line voltages with operating temperature range from 1 2 0 0 ° to 1 8 0 0 ° F. 4J^ in. insulation keeps heat in, conserves power. Heavy gauge CHROMEL assures long and trouble-free service.
2
FD COMBUSTION FURNACE—Operates on line voltage, A.C. or D . C , with maximum temperature of 1 8 0 0 ° F. W e l l insulated. Helical CHROMEL coil is w r a p p e d around grooved tubular muffle for quick, easy renewal.
3
FH CRUCIBLE FURNACE—Good for melting small experimental batches of metal up to 2 0 0 0 ° F. Has no muffle, the heavy CHROMEL heating element being covered with a thin refractory cement.
4
H O T PLATE—Built for h a r d , continuous service. Spiral CHROMEL heating element assures uniform distribution of heat. M a x . temp. 9 0 0 ° F.
HOSKINSL A B O R A T O R YFURNACE Whatever your test requirements are, you'll find extra durability, extra dependability in Hoskins electric laboratory furnaces. Whether they're muffle, combustion or crucible type units, good insulation is provided for cooler operation. And . . . important . . . they're equipped with well-designed, long-lasting CHROMEL heating elements that stand up under plenty of hard, hot, continuous use. CHROMEL, you know, is the durable Nickel-Chromium Alloy that first made electrical heating practical. In use it takes on a thin, tight skin of oxide that serves as a protective coating against progressive oxidation. It's the vital part of every Hoskins furnace.
