KOCHI* Department of Chemistry, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana 47401 Received March 26,1971 The rates of ligand transfer oxidation of alkyl radicals by copper(I1) thiocyanate, chloride, and bromide approach the diffusion-controlled limit, having second-order rate constants a t 25" of 3.6 X 108, 1.1 X 109, and 4.3 >: 109 M-l sec-I, respectively. The kinetics were measured by comparing the first-order isomerization of
