Denny, president of t h e University of Alabama, John W . Finch, director of the Bureau of Mines, and Mil­ ton H . Fies, vice president of t h e De Bardeleben Coal Corp. Following the dedication a reception was held by t h e President a n d M r s . Denny at their home, and the day's activities were completed by t h e commencement

The Southeast Section of the American Institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers participated officially in the day's festivities and held a meeting in the morning, a t which S. J .
