YOU LIKED DIGILAB'S GC/IR... DIGILAB'S GC/IR II HAS BOTH ADVANCED SOFTWARE AND REVOLUTIONARY HARDWARE GC/S IS THE FIRST AND ONLY REAL TIME GC/IR SOFTWARE SYSTEM. SOME OF THE REALTIME FUNCTIONS PERFORMED SIMULTANEOUSLY INCLUDE:* • FULL RESOLUTION ABSORBANCE SPECTRA, DISPLAYED AND STORED IN REAL TIME • TOTAL IR RECONSTRUCTED CHROMATOGRAM (ANALAGOUS TO THE TOTAL ION CURRENT MONITORING IN GC/MS) • UP TO FIVE FUNCTIONAL GROUP CHROMATOGRAMS (MULTIGRAMS), ANALAGOUS TO SELECTIVE ION MONITORING
OTHER OUTSTANDING FEATURES INCLUDE: • UP TO FOUR HOURS OF CONTINUOUS DATA COLLECTION AND STORAGE • OPERATOR'S CHOICE OF TRIGGERING DATA COLLECTION ON THE PRESENCE OF PEAKS IN ANY RECONSTRUCTED CHROMATOGRAM • CHOICE OF CONSTANT OR VARIABLE TIME RESOLUTIONS • STOP AND START DATA COLLECTION ANY TIME DURING THE GC RUN • GC RETENTION TIMES ARE ALWAYS PRESERVED, (CHROMATOGRAMS ARE PLOTTED AS A FUNCTION OF RETENTION TIME)
• COMPLEX EXPERIMENTS FROM DATA COLLECTION TO SPECTRAL SEARCH CAN BE SET UP EASILY AND STORED FOR FUTURE USE • HIGH SPEED ON-LINE SPECTRAL SEARCH • PERMITS THE USE OF AUTO INJECTION FOR MULTIPLE SAMPLES AND UNATTENDED OPERATION • POWERFUL INTERACTIVE GC PEAK EDITING SOFTWARE FOR ENHANCING GC RESOLUTION • SOFTWARE OPTIMIZED FOR CAPILLARY GC/IR
GC/C IS A NEW STATE-OF-THE-ART CAPILLARY GC/IR ACCESSORY WITH THE FOLLOWING REVOLUTIONARY FEATURES: • SENSITIVITY • OPTIMIZED FOR USE WITH WIDE BORE (0.5mm) OR NARROW BORE (.25mm) WCOT, SCOT, OR SILICA COLUMNS • NO LOSS OF GC RESOLUTION (ZERO DEAD VOLUME) • INERT ALL GLASS SYSTEM

Figure 3. Photograph of the display during the interactive peak editing mode. The cursors locate a peak in the reconstructed chromatogram which is being analyzed.
Total infrared absorption reconstructed chromatogram is obtained from the interferograms. Scan sets containing infrared absorbing species are used in computing the absorbance spectra. Multigrams are obtained from the absorbance data. Spectral search is performed using the complete infrared spectrum of the unknown. For more details on the total infrared absorption reconstruction and the spectral search routines refer to Digilab FTS-IR Note #29.
