CARE,

Jim Pitts is our champion PrG sniffer That's U.S.P. Propylene Glycol. Jim's highly discerning nose is one of the reasons Jefferson makes the finest propylene glycol in the world. One whiff of odor and the whole run goes back for reprocessing or is classified as a lower grade. No known instrumentation can detect these subtle differences, but Jim Pitts can, consistently. Of course, we don't rely entirely on human sensing elements for quality control. We have some

pretty sophisticated instrumentation like the Preparative Chromatograph which enables us to isolate and identify impurities as small as 10 ppm. However, you'd be amazed how many irregularities these quality control men can detect simply by sight, smell, taste or feel, and their findings are usually confirmed 100% by laboratory techniques. Quality control men are top hands on the Rising "J". Jefferson Chemical Company, Inc., P. O. Box 53300, Houston, Texas 77052.
