T h e Experimenter, a continuous reactor designed for laboratory scale experiments that can be extrapolated to full scale production equipment, incorporates intimate mixing and heat transfer by processing material within narrow film limits. T h e manufacturer claims that mixing is maintained throughout the processing cycle without the possibility of short-circuiting. Hydrazine Derivatives T h r e e new white crystalline solid hydrazine derivatives are now available in laboratory quantities. Hydrazine dihydrochloride can be used as a chlorine scavenger for hydrochloric acid gas streams a n d as a n ingredient in copper cleaners a n d aluminum soldering fluxes; it is soluble in cold water, insoluble in hot absolute alcohol, and its melting point is 198° C. Hydrazodicarbonamide is suggested as a chemical intermediate, as a base constituent for polyamide thermosetting resins, and as a growth regulating agent. Soluble in water, strong bases, and strong hydrochloric acid, insoluble in alcohol a n d diethyl ether, melting point 256 to 258° C. Monohydrazinium phosphate is
