Multigas VOC calibration The Span Lab TO-14 Calibration Bench is designed for laboratories performing EPA MethodTO-14and other volatile organic compound determinations. Consisting of up to 30 individually controlled permeation tube ovens with up to eight tubes each, the instrument can produce calibration mixtures with > 200 components. Each component source is NIST-traceable through physical standards. Each oven is preset at a fixed temperature ranging from 30 °C to 150 °C; optional variable-temperature ovens are adjustable in 0.1 °C increments over the same range. When heated in one of the ovens, a permeation tube emits a small, precisely determined flow of compound into a small flow of carrier gas; the resulting mixture is added selectively to a controlled flow of dilution gas. Polarimetry Autopol IV is an automated microprocessor-controlled polarimeter designed for routine analysis in research, quality control, and process control. It can be used for applications in the pharmaceutical,flavorand fragrance, food, and polymer industries. The polarimeter presents measurements as optical rotation, specific rotation, or concentration, or as results on a user-defined scale. It has measuring ranges of ± 89° with resolution of 0.001° for optical rotation, ± 999.99° for specific rotation with resolutions of 0.001° for 0-100° arc and 0.01° for 100°-999.99° arc, and 0-99% for concentration with resolution of 0.001%. Up to 30 programs, with parameters such as tube length, concentration, specific rotation, wavelength, measurement range, scale, and temperature correction, can be programmed and assigned to function keys.
