MALLCOSORB™ AR Absorbent for CO2, HCI, SO2, H2S, and other acidic gases.
Sharply indicating Mallcosorb changes from original pink to yellowish tan as it loses absorptive capacity (turns to black with H 2 S). This high-capacity, granular absorbent is readily handled in air. It is non-caking—doesn't plug, channel or liquefy in use—allows free flow of gas throughout life. Here is an absorbent that is easily removed from equipment when exhausted—doesn't react with plastic or glass to form a hard, adherent mass. Ready-to-use tubes of Mallcosorb eliminate waste of material and analyst's time. They are economically used for protection of standard caustic solutions; scrubbing of acidic impurities (CO2, SO2, SO3, H 2 S, HCI) from gas streams, and with Aquasorb in micro and macro analytical gas trains for C 0 2 .
A q u a s o r b , a P 2 0 5 - b a s e d desiccant, is a highly efficient, double-indicating absorbent for H 2 0 and wet stream NH 3 . Blue when fresh, Aquasorb gives "fail safe" indication by changing to yellow when partially exhausted before turning green, when it loses its absorptive capacity. Far more economical to use than CaCI 2 ...3 times as efficient to the yellow indication, 6 times as efficient to the green. Aquasorb is safe. ..explosion free, not an oxidizing agent. No channeling. Low pressure drop. Gases flow easily. In ready-to-use packages, Aquasorb is ideal for protection of Karl Fischer reagent, or any anhydrous solvent, drying of all laboratory and industrial gas streams. In bulk it is ideally suited for use in desiccators and drying pistols—in analytical gas trains for quantitative water determinations.
MULTISORB™ AR absorbs SO2, NO2
AQUASORB™ AR Absorbent for H2O, NH3 and other basic gases.
Multisorb absorbent is a new grade of manganese dioxide specifically developed to provide a high absorptive capacity for analytical work. It provides complete freedom of gas flow, freedom from dust, is easily removed from equipment when exhausted. No retention of C 0 2 . Economical to use, Multisorb absorbent is superior in the above properties to any other solid absorbent for S 0 2 and N 0 2 .
