Meet Our Second Advisory Board, the Analytical Chemistry Features Panel
E
arlier in 2013, we had a special issue introducing our Editorial Advisory Board. This editorial (and the associated special issue) highlights a second group of talented individuals, our Features Panel. What does the Features Panel do for the journal? While hopefully most readers have looked at our Features, Perspectives and Reviews, I am guessing that few of you have considered where the ideas for these invited articles come from. The Features Panel suggests authors and topics for us to cover in these articles, and its members are selected to represent the broad interests that complement our Editors’ areas of expertise. As members of our Features panel serve for a single three-year term, Analytical Chemistry is assured of a fresh stream of exciting ideas to highlight in these special articles. We also gather feedback on other issues related to running the journal to make sure we remain responsive to our scientific communities. Members of the Features Panel are outstanding scientists who volunteer their time to improve the journal. They are from universities and institutes, and represent the United States, Europe, and Asia. As you will see if you look at the special issue highlighting their recent contributions, they publish excellent work in Analytical Chemistry. The current Features Panel members have interests that span the subfields of Analytical Chemistry, including chromatography, electrochemistry, mass spectrometry, microfluidics, and much more. Let me take this opportunity to thank our current and past Features Panel participants for their time and efforts − their commitment to Analytical Chemistry is greatly appreciated.
