Applications are invited for teaching positions in Environmental Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) for the academic year beginning July 1995. The Faculty of Engineering of NUS is in the process of establishing an environmental engineering program by combining and expanding the existing environmental engi neering activities of a number of its departments. Initially the program will be at the postgraduate level and graduate diplomas/MSc degrees will be offered. Candidates with background in any aspect of environmental science and engineering are welcome. Special preference, however, will be given to those with interests in one of the following areas: 1) 2) 3) 4)
Atmospheric and Water Chemistry Applied Microbiology Air Pollution Control Engineering Atmospheric Science
Candidates must have a relevant PhD degree with appropriate profes sional experiences. Appointment may be made at all levels (professor, associate professor, senior lecturer or lecturer) depending upon the qualifications of the candidates. In exceptional cases, visiting appoint ments of one or two years duration may also be considered. The National University of Singapore is a major comprehensive uni versity with high academic standards (Cambridge Α-level is required for admission into its undergraduate study in the Faculty of Engineering) and degree programs up to the PhD level in all branches of classical engineering disciplines are available through its Faculty of Engineering.
