three slippery agents (you'll be awfully glad we tracked them down) These new Armour slip agents do a fine job of controlling "surface drag" during processing, handling and use of polyolefin products. And they offer real savings on the basis of cost-purity comparisons. Added to polyolefin resins, the three Armoslip™ agents sharply reduce the coefficient of friction... improve slip characteristics of film, sheeting or extrusion coatings. They also act as antiblock and anti-tack a g e n t s . . . prevent product surfaces from adhering to themselves or to other surfaces. Armoslip CP and Armoslip OW are oleamides; Armoslip Ε is an erucamide. Converters, molders, packagers and even retail customers find it easier to 12

handle products made from resins con taining one of the Armoslip additives. All three are sanctioned by the FDA for food packaging uses. Available as friable flakes or powder, these products won't cake or bridge during storage and handling, or in auto matic feeding equipment. They disperse rapidly and uniformly into resins. Armoslip CP is an extremely pure oleamide (typical amide content, 98 %). It has an exceptionally light color and a
negligible free-fatty acid content. Due to its l i g h t c o l o r a n d h e a t s t a b i l i t y , Armoslip CP won't cause discoloration of polyolefin products. Armoslip OW is recommended where purity and color requirements are less stringent. The low volatility of Armoslip Ε makes it useful for high-temperature processes. Your specific application will deter mine which of these Armoslip additives is best for you. Write Dept. CE today for bulletin G-26.
