It is said to offer promise as a resin curing agent a n d stabilizer for chlorine-containing solvents. Derivatives of N-hydroxyethyl piperazine are useful as anthelmintics, antihistamines, a n d tranquilizing d r u g s for b o t h human and veterinary use. The product also has a future in p r o ducing highly color-fast dyes. T h e other t w o compounds are expected to find application a s intermediates for pharmaceutical products. Piperazine itself h a s long been used as a basic raw material for a broad series of anthelmintic salts, antihistamines, motion sickness remedies, and tranquilizing drugs, and h a s been considered for use in antifoaming compounds, corrosion inhibitors, a n d detergents.
