Try using Pennsalt organosulfur compounds in your syntheses. You may be pleasantly surprised. In agricultural chemicals, for instance, replacing oxygen with sulfur often renders compounds biologically active. Mercaptans are exceptionally effective chaintransfer agents in the polymerization of certain plastics and resins. A wide range of end-product properties is made possible by the fact that sulfur can be oxidized to a number of intermediate valence states. Sulfur compounds are different from their oxygen analogs in solubility, which may be advantageous in some applications.
