Paraffin chemical 7814 prevents petroleum wax from building up o n tubing, pipelines, a n d other crude oil production equipment by neutralizing the reactive side chains of the crude oil paraffin molecule. Family of 3M brand glass bubbles consists of minute hollow spheres of glass which have low density, i n the range 0.20 to 0.37 g/cm3, high strength, a n d chemical stability. T h r e e series are available, one for general use, one with lowest density a n d medium cost, a n d one with highest strength. Poret copper shot, ranging in size from -14 +20 to -60 +80 mesh is now available i n pilot plant quantites. T h e shot has precise sphericity, close size control, a n d high density, and was developed for use as a n extended surface in a proprietary heat exchanger. Its use as a filter is also suggested.
