INSTRUMENTATION Fluorescence. The Mercur model is a fully automated atomic fluorescence spectrometer based on the cold-vapor technique, in which mercury samples are converted to the gaseous state. Pipetting system. The Mosquito system can pipette 50 nL–1.2 µL volumes accurately and reproducibly. It has a spool of 35,000 miniature syringe-like micropipettes that provide a constant supply of disposable-tips to the fixed-head pipettor.
