HoW pipe of Geon helps cut maintenance The large photo shows 33 2" pipe made from Geon rigid vinyl material that is used t o feed an aqueous solution of chlorines into s e a water just ahead of bar screens at ti*e intake structure. The chlorine prevents buuldup of algae in condenser tubes and in the «circulating water system. The smaller photo shows more pipe of Geon circulating salt water to cool the bearings of circulating water pumps. Geon is n o t affected either by salt water or most chemicals—which proves its value in still anotner part of this large generating station. . Geon is used to pipe the acid bearing (H 2 S0 4 ) wash-down water from trie boiler waste hopper t o the discharge canal. Geon piping is used also for pumping salt water to the soot disposal collectors. Geon pipe and conduit yjfàj&iFïvl also provide hi^h. ini^ect 3Zid tensile strength. Both a r e lightweight, easy t o install. They are examples of t h e way that versatile Oeon prov i d e s t h e key t o new a n d improved products or applications. For information, write Dept.
