Four Elliott three-stage noncondensing ejectors for a plant manufacturing whole dried milk. Used in connection with can closing machines, these ejectors pull the vacuum chamber down to .25 inches in 84 seconds.
M U L T I - S T A G E EJECTORS are used when high vacuum is required, a n d in most cases intercondensers are used between ejector stages to remove condensable vapors to avoid rehandling them, thus saving steam. However, there is a definite place for noncondensing multi-stage ejectors. They are to be selected, for instance, where the air handling capacity is small or where the service requires pulling d o w n to a low absolute pressure in a very short time. For rapid evacuation, noncondensing multi-stage ejectors require very little more steam than condensing t y p e ejectors. They are convenient to install, requiring no barometric leg or head room and they may be installed a t any elevation or in any position.
A three-stage noncondensing elector is very eimpls. It .« 'ecommendect for high vacuum with email capacity, or quick evacuation equirements.
An example is the ejectors illustrated. Elliott engineers, cooperating in the correct handling o f very many vacuum problems, can apply exactly the right t y p e and arrangement of ejector equipment to your job. Their experience is a t your service. Ejector bulletin on request.
