Insulate the first time
This picture of the Neches Butane Products Company's plant at Port Neclies, Texas, shows a variety of fractionating towers, all insulated with PC Foamglas.
This picture shows how PC Foamglas is used to insulate tanks and pipe lines. The material is available in standard blocks, curved segments and beveled lags to fit tank sides, heads and domes and in preformed sections for standard pipe sizes and fittings.

for the last time w i t h PC FOAMGLAS the permanent material for industrial insulation 1t's Acldproof, Fireproof. W a t e r p r o o f
These are curved segments of PC Foamglas for use on tank heads. PC Foamglas can be easily cut and formed with ordinary tools, to fit all sorts of irregular shapes.
This is FOAMGLAS' The entire strong, rigid block is composed of millions of sealed glass bubbles. They form a continuous structure, so no air, water, vapor or fumes can get into or through the Foamglas block. In those closed glass cells, which contain inert air, lies the secret of the material's permanent insulating efficiency. FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION SEE OUR INSERTS IN SWEET'S CATALOGS

Replacements—repairs —maintenance —those are the main reasons why costs mount up when you use ordinary insulating materials. That is why so many plant engineers are saving time, trouble and money by insulating tanks, towers, retorts, hot and cold piping, ducts, breeching, evaporators, heat exchangers — and other processing equipment — with PC Foamglas. PC Foamglas is true glass in cellular form (see illustration). It is therefore impervious to moisture, fire, vapor, fumes, acids, most solvents and other elements that cause many m a t e r i a l s to lose i n s u l a t i n g e f f i c i e n c y in processing plants. First cost is last cost when you insulate with PC Foamglas, because, when installed according to our recommendations and specifications, this unique material retains its original insulating efficiency permanently. Our insulating specialists will be glad to help you work out your individual insulating problems, to show you where and how you can use Foamglas to the best advantage.
