A n g l e - H e a d Centrifuges utilize the angle principle by sus pending the tubes at a fixed 5 2 ° angle. Thus, a faster rate of sedimentation is achieved, as w e l l as more complete sedi mentation w i t h finely dispersed particles. In addition, the sediment is not disturbed when the centrifuge comes to rest, since the tubes remain in the angular position.
Standard Centrifuges have the conventional f r e e - s w i n g i n g tubes which assume a horizontal position in motion and drop to the vertical when at rest. Adams Safeguard Centrifuges are finished in attractive grey hammertone lacquer. They operate on 110 volts, A C or DC, and d r a w 1 3 2 watts. Models operating on 2 2 0 volts can be supplied at a small additional charge.
