Get the spectrum... thewholespectrum... a n d nothing but

the spectrum.

Strip away spectral interference and get the true picture with an OMA The Princeton Applied Research Optical Multichannel Analyzer (OMA®) eliminates spectral interferences and background by subtracting a reference spectrum from the analyte spectrum. Each spectrum is digitized at 500 points (channels) and stored in one of two memories. This 500 channel parallel detection, combined with background subtraction, makes the OMA ideal for simultaneous multi-element flame analysis. The OMA can be used in real time to rapidly find the best spectral region for analysis. The reference and analyte spectra can then be quickly acquired, [•put into memory and digitally subtracted point by point. The basic OMA system consists of a digital console, an oscilloscope monitor, a . detector, and a polychromator (spectrometer). Detectors are offered to cover the ïspectrat range from vacuum ultraviolet to near infrared (1.1 μ). Spectrometers are ^available to fit most dispersion requirements. OMA detectors are easily interfaced to most commonly used spectrometers. The OMA console drives the detector and digitizes, stores and processes the spectral data. The spectra are in memory and can be displayed, plotted, or printed for close |tudy. Oscilloscope and X-Y plotter outputs are standard and optional interfaces pre available for magnetic tape, printers and ASCII devices including computers.
