The Department of Land, Air and Water Resources, University of California, Davis announces an Assistant Professor position in Soil Science in the area of soil genesis and morphology. This tenured track (11 months) position will be divided 25% teaching and 75% research. Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Soil Science with undergraduate training in soil science or geology. Applications should have field experience and an interest in soil-geomorphic relationships. The appointee will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in genesis, morphology and management of salt affected soils and develop a graduate course in soil genesis. In addition, the appointee will share teaching duties for a summer field course. Additional teaching duties include advising of undergraduate and graduate students. The appointee will be expected to develop a research program in soil genesis and geomorphology.
