The 2nd Conference on Microdosimetry will be held at Museum of Arts and Sciences, Rochester, N.Y., Feb. 14 and 15. Sponsors are the museum, University of Rochester, and Bausch & Lomb. Theme of discussions will center around microdosimeter systems. Speakers will include scientists from Naval Research Laboratory, Brookhaven, and Oak Ridge. Conference chairman is Dr. Nobert Kreidl, Bausch & Lomb, Rochester 2, N.Y.
The Plastics Institute will meet March 1 in London for a joint conference with the Institution of the Rubber Industry. Theme of the meeting, to be held at the Institution of Electrical Engineers, will be Rubber and Plastics in Cables. Education and Training in the Plastics Industry is the title of a conference to be held June 19 and 20 at the same place by the institute. A third conference, also at IEE in London, will be held Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. Theme will be Engineering with Plastics.
Packaging Institute and the National Paper Box Manufacturers Association will hold a symposium on Finding Hidden Profits in Set-Up Boxes at the Sheraton Hotel, Philadelphia, March 31.
The 30th National Packaging Exposition will be held at the Lakefront Exposition Hall in Chicago, April 10 to 13. Sponsor is American Management Association. Displays by more than 330 exhibitors will show the latest in packaging machinery, materials, methods, and services. The National Packaging Conference will be held at the same place during the exposition.
The First International Congress on Metallic Corrosion will be held at Imperial College of Science and Technology, South Kensington, London, April 10 to 15. An extensive program of technical papers has been scheduled, and tours will be made to many plants in the area. For further in-
formation write to the congress at 14 Belgrave Square, London, S.W.I, England. The 3rd Symposium on Information and Decision Processes will be held at Purdue, April 12 and 13. The program is said to be of particular interest to those concerned with information theory, decision theory, and mathematical statistics, as well as to those interested in operations research, systems engineering, and related fields. Titrimetric Methods of Analysis is the title of a symposium planned by the analytical subject division of the Chemical Institute of Canada. It will be held May 8 and 9 in Cornwall, Ont., with the Cornwall District section of CIC as hosts. Three aspects of titrimetric analysis will be emphasized: complexometric titrations, electrometric titrations, and titrations in nonaqueous solvents. The 21st International Congress of Pharmaceutical Sciences will be held in Pisa, Italy, Sept. 4 to 8. Purpose of the congress will be to discuss various aspects of suspensions and emulsions and to offer pharmaceutical scientists the chance to report on their researches.
