Rheodyne's curious kludge. Loaded with innovations that simplify LC. Getting ready for an LC analysis often takes more time than the chromatographic separation itself. We refer to tasks like installing the proper column and cleaning-up the sample. The Rheodyne kludge dem onstrates innovative components which perform such tasks in less time, with less trouble and at less expense. 1. Rapid column selection. Just turn this valve to substitute one column for another that's used for a different method. No wrenches. No worn out fittings. It's done with Rheodyne's 7000 valve, connected between the injection valve and the columns. 2. Time-saving sample clean-up. This short, high-efficiency column is connected in place of a sample loop to clean up samples within the chromatographic system itself. This new method is much faster than purification using liquid/liquid parti tion, column chromatography or commercial separation cartridges. It's described in our Tech Note No. 2. 3. Sample injection by syringe loading or loop loading. You need not limit yourself to one technique or the other when you select an injector. Rheodyne's 7125 in jector does it both ways
When used as a syringe-loading injector, the syringe calibrations determine sample volume. You can inject as little as 1/AI with zero sample loss. When used as a loop-loading injector, the loop size determines sample volume. You get precise repeatabil ity with any of eight sample loops from 10μ.Ι to 2ml. Another time-saving valve. Rheodyne's new toggle-action 3-way slider valve wouldn't fit in our kludge, so we show it separately here. The Model 5302 valve is for low-pressure switching appli cations—such as solvent se lection at the pump inlet.
