.0005% max. .05% max. .5 ppb as quinine base max. Butyl ether is an excellent extradant because of its stability, high boiling point and ease of recovery from aqueous solutions. It is widely used as an extractant for hormones and thioglycolic acid, an intermediate used in hairwaving preparations. Water solubility is 0.03% by weight at 20s C. Miscible with most common organic solvents. Solvent for many resins, alkaloids, oils, esters and organic acids. Used with butyl phosphoric acids as a solvent system to separate zirconium from niobium; and niobium from tantalum, and yttrium group elements from lanthanum group elements.'•Used as a solvent in the spectrophotometry de termination of blood salicylates* and barbituates'^ in the U.V. region. 1. And —we've added adapters that (a) fit the lOcc attachment for 10, 50 and 100 microliter syringes; (b) fit the 2cc attachment for l / 4 c c Tuberculin syringes; (c) f i t the lOcc attachment for l c c Tuberculin syringes. • When used in Gas Chromatography, the Attachment prevents gas pressure backflow from forcing plunger out of syringe.
