Papers from the 43rd Microsymposium on Polymer Biomaterials: Biomimetic and Bioanalogous Systems Special Section on Polymer Biomaterials The 43rd Microsymposium of Prague Meetings on Macromolecules had the title “Polymer Biomaterials: Biomimetic and Bioanalogous Systems” and was held at the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry in Prague, Czech Republic, July 12-15, 2004. The Microsymposium chairman Prof. Frantisˇek Rypa´cˇek had gathered about one hundred scientists with twenty oral presentations and seventy posters. The limited number of participants provided the possibility for many fruitful discussions at the oral presentations as well as at the posters and coffee breaks. A small selection of these contributions are collected here into a special section on Polymer Biomaterials.
