Radîoactively Tagged Pesticides Three insecticides—endrin, aldrin, and dieldrin—are available tagged with carbon-14. These are the chemicals associated with the recent fish kills. Labeled Amino Acids A full line of amino acids labeled with carbon-14 is offered. These com pounds are uniformly labeled and have high specific activity and high purity. Each type of product is prepared by growing Chlorella pyrenoidosa in a chemically defined medium with C 1 4 0 2 as the sole source of carbon, hydrolyzing the algal cells, and separating the L-amino acids by ion exchange chromatography or by growing a variety of yeast using uniformly labeled sugars as source of carbon-14. High purity Linde reagent gases are available in convenient, economical throw-away cylinders. Included are argon, carbon dioxide, helium, hydro gen, krypton, neon, nitrogen, oxygen, and xenon.
