Chem. /. ,20,577-58o.-The apparatus cannot be well understood without the diagram ; the orifice offered for the entrance of air and water is of such size that any appreciable friction is avoided and the energy of the jet is transmitted to a much greater volume of water than in the Richards or Muencke apparatus. Besides minute quantities of sugars and proteid matter he found considerable amounts of calcium oxalate.
