Symposium on Scanning Electron Microscope The Third Annual Scanning Electron Microscope Symposium will be held April 28 to 30, 1970, at IIT Research Institute on the campus of Illinois In stitute of Technology, Chicago, 111. In vited and contributed papers from the U. S. and abroad will be scheduled to report studies conducted with SEM in the field including biology, botany, ce ramics, chemistry, electronics, medicine,

6th International Symposium on Microtechniques The Austrian Society of Microchemistry and Analytical Chemistry will host the 6th International Symposium on Microtechniques, Sept. 7 to 11,1970, in Graz, Austria. The meeting is under the sponsorship of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC). This meeting will allow microchemists to exchange ideas in a working ses sion, to review developments by means of lectures and exhibitions, and to honor eminent scientists. Main topics to be dealt with in plenary lectures, dis cussion panels, and original contribu tions are: Organic microanalysis Inorganic microanalysis Micromethods in biochemistry Radiochemical micromethods Research and teaching in microchemistry Exhibition of microchemical equipment and literature Demonstrations and workshops
