NEW: HIGHER PERFORMANCE WITH ADDED CONVENIENCE
IN RESEARCH NMR SPECTROMETERS
Varian's new spectrometers— HA-100, HA-60, and DA-60 — include NMR stabilization control which provides field-tofrequency locking and thus eliminates the problem of field and frequency instabilities. Now our powerful research NMR spectrometers can be operated routinely using charts pre-calibrated for proton studies —with significant savings in time previously spent calibrating each spectrum. Spectra are easily reproduced on our new flatbed recorder, making it possible to incorporate Varian's new C-1024 Time Averaging Computer accessory for vastly improved instrument sensitivity. These new instruments permit slower sweeps (as low as 0.01 cps/sec.) to take full advantage of the maximum resolving power of the instruments. Such slow sweeps (up to 5000 seconds) can also be used to obtain optimum signal-to-noise ratio from a single sweep. LIVING INSTRUMENTS
The new HA- and DA- Spectrometers are also compatible with Varian's wide range of accessories. This permits them to be used for studies of nuclei other than protons, variable temperature operation, double resonance experiments, and small sample analysis. In line with Varian's well-known "Living Instrument" design policy, Varian's HR-100, HR-60 or DP-60 Spectrometers can be converted to equal the performance of the new HA- and DASpectrometers by means of a special conversion kit.
