Viewpoint: A New Showcase The article featured on the cover of this issue by Ann Walker on “Pulsed EPR and NMR Spectroscopy of Paramagnetic Iron Porphyrinates and Related Iron Macrocycles: How To Understand Patterns of Spin Delocalization and Recognize Macrocycle Radicals” carries the new designation Viewpoint. Ann received the Garvan-Olin Medal in 2000 and was invited by my predecessor, Fred Hawthorne, to write an award article based on the chemistry for which she was being honored. Ann agreed but was busy at the time, and months slipped into years. Last summer, the invitation was renewed with the purpose of having Ann present an overview of paramagnetic NMR spectroscopy and spin delocalization in macrocyclic complexes from her particular perspective. We now are pleased to publish Ann’s invited article and recognize it as a Viewpoint. Other similarly labeled articles that are invited in recognition of past awards and honors will from time to time appear in Inorganic Chemistry, and we hope you will find them stimulating reading.
