When a good, hardworking hydrocarbon surfactant can't wet it-try Du Pont ZONYL.
A hydrocarbon on TEFLON
surfactant
DuPont's ZONYL fluorosurfactants do the job even when conventional hydrocarbon wetting agents don't. ZONYL even wets TEFLON * ZONYL fluorosurfactants work better than hydrocarbon surfactants because they reduce surface tension more, even in concentrations as low as 100 ppm. And they're chemically and thermally stable. You can use ZONYL with strong acids or concentrated alkalies and at temperatures as high as 300°C. You can't do that with hydrocarbon surfactants. Today, ZONYL surfactants have a wide variety of uses, including processing steel, paint manufacture and gravure printing inks. Chances are, you can use the unique physical and chemical properties of ZONYL to improve existing products or processes, or to develop new ones. Try some and see.
