Chromatography Control Unit C-2 control unit assists in programming chromatographic and other processes where liquid flows have to be critically controlled. Functions include activation and deactivation of pumps, valves, monitors, recorders, and other ancillary equipment on a volume or time basis. Ten different volume (1000 liters/zone) or time (100 hr/zone) zones can be preset to divide the separation process. Total hydrocarbon monitors are standard flame ionization gas chromatographs modified for monitoring applications. The units offer ppb sensitivity and can be adapted for continuous monitoring or discrete sample separation. Customer specifications include heated or unheated sampling systems, manual or automated, single or dual channel. The Monitrek CR-450 coloratiometer consists of an on-stream transmitter and remote converter to measure the relative transmittance of liquid or gaseous products through a process line. The instrument features two side-by-side silicon photodetectors, standard recorder/alarm outputs, and performs on fully pressurized lines from x/2 to 6 in. with a response time of 0.1 sec. The Series 2700 gas chromatograph, a compact, single-column GC, measures 13 x 17 X 12 in. high.
