R a m a n Spectroscopy Benjamin Post, assistant professor of physics a t Brooklyn Poly, is also an associate editor of A S T M . His chief technical fields are chemical crystallography, high a n d low temperature x-ray diffraction methods, powder metallurgy, a n d structures of refractory materials and he has published a b o u t 30 papers. H e was educated a t C C N Y and Brooklyn Poly, taking a P h . D . in '49.
Isidor Fankuchen, professor of applied physics a t Brooklyn Poly, claims Brooklyn as his home town, though lie went to school a t Cooper Union, Cornell, a n d Manchester, Cambridge, a n d London, England. H e then became a research fellow a t M I T a n d H a r v a r d medical school a n d afterward assistant professor a t Minnesota's medical school. Later he was director a t Anderson I n s t i t u t e for Biological R e search. I n 1942 he returned to Brooklyn Poly as adjunct professor. H e is credited with approximately 85 publications and one p a t e n t . H e was t h e first president of t h e American Crystallographic Association a n d is t h e American editor of Acta Crystallographica.
