The six Eastman a r o m a t i c amines p r o v i d e a source of a n unusual r a n g e o f couplers a n d intermediates. Primarily e m p l o y e d in the manufacture o f d y e s a n d pharmaceutical chemicals, these compounds a r e also receiving active consideration as intermediates in the p r e p a r a t i o n o f new insecticides a n d fungicides· The t w o primary amines, d i m e t h o x y a n d diethoxy aniline, r e a d i l y f o r m diazonium salts. B y virtue of their a l k o x y groups these amines a r e easily c o u p l e d to such salts a n d the resulting compound can a g a i n b e dîazotizecL OCH3 NH 2
