EDITORIAL In this issue, the Editors of Accounts of Chemical Research inaugurate an occasional new feature, which we entitle “Focus On”. This section will be a group of papers (fewer than for a special issue) on a related subject. This issue contains two papers, by Rebek and by Nowick, which are focused on Self-Assembly. These papers were originally presented in the symposium for the 1997 American Chemical Society James Flack Norris Award to Julius Rebek, Jr.
