Synlubes from Emery are built to take the heat. Emery's fully compounded synthetic high temperature lubricants have excellent thermal stability, performing well at temperatures as high as 550-600GF. They contain no solid antiwear additives to contaminate products or collect on equipment. And, they are easily applied by spraying, dipping, brushing or soaking. Designed essentially for use in high temperature equipment such as oven chains, satisfactory performance can also be expected in applications involving bearing lubrication. In high performance engineering plastics, Emerox 1144 provides essentially the same properties as sebacic acid or dodecanedioic acid at a substantially lower cost. Emerox 1144 and its derivatives, Emery 9362 BHEZ (bishydro-

xyethyl azelate) and Emery 9364 DMZ (dimethyl azelate), are useful in many other p o l y m e r s low moisture nylon, urethane elastomers, spandex fibers, for example—and have a broad range of applications such as fish nets and fishing lines, sewing threads, polyester films, polyester fabrics and adhesives. Emery® 9301 processing aid saves money, improves extruder efficiency. A 1-2% level of Emery 9301 added to certain polymers or resins (nylon 6 or 6/6, polyesters, polyethylene terephthalate or polybutylene terephthalate) saves time and money by decreasing power requirements, lowering extruder temperature profiles, and increasing screw speeds and output. All without adverse effects on your finished products.

Emery 9301 can also be added to resins, primarily nylon, for injection molding to promote flow for cavity fill-up, resulting in fewer rejects. And, it makes it easier to extrude scrap nylon 6, 6/6, PBT and PET. CIRCLE 48 ON READER SERVICE CARD
