BATTERY DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Interfacing with Design and Research personnel, you'll be building and testing battery prototypes. This position involves actual hands-on testing and building, working from original designs. Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is required, preferably with several years experience in battery research and development. Above all, a solid working knowledge of chemistry is needed.

PRODUCT ENGINEER Under the supervision of the Senior Engineer, you'll be designing and developing battery prototypes. This will involve performing calculations and drawings. A degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is preferred. Several years experience in the development of power sources with a capability to make and read engineering drawings is necessary.

ELECTROCHEMIST Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager of the Battery Laboratory, your responsibilities will include directing the engineering efforts in the research and development of lithium batteries. All activities will be directed towards meeting performance, weight and size requirements of specific battery and power subsystems applications. Other responsibilities will include providing support in the areas of fabrication, assembly and testing, as well as supporting the development and production groups in battery design/system requirements. This position requires M.S. or PhD in Electrochemistry with 8-10 years experience in battery research.

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR Will be responsible for establishing daily assignments of all operators involved in assembly batteries. Will request and maintain flow of materials, and will act as liaison with purchasing and shipping personnel. An understanding of the principles of the electromechanical power sources is essential. You should have two

Major responsibility will be preparing electrolyte for lithium batteries, including operating a distillation facility, performing experiments to develop electrolytes and other related activities. Reporting to the lab engineering manager, you'll also be maintaining the battery filling facility and participating in preliminary quality control activities. Experience in the operation of chemical pilot facilities, preferably those dealing with the preparation of materials evaluation, is required. BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, with 5-8 years experience or MS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 3-5 years of experience also required.

QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER Will supervise a comprehensive Quality Assurance systems for the manufacture of batteries. Specific responsibilities will include design review, vendor evaluation, specifications and approval requirements, safety, defect and failure analysis and standards. Requires BS Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering, with several years experience in Quality Control/Assurance. Battery manufacturing experience preferred.

QUALITY CONTROL SUPERVISOR Will be responsible for the implementation of a quality system in a battery manufacturing plant, including maintaining incoming, inprocess and final inspection, test, calibration and process control areas. Associate degree or equivalent and at least 5 years experience in a quality organization operating in accordance with MIL-Q-9858 required. Supervisory skills desirable, plus 2 years in chemical related work and a solid understanding of batteries.
