The successful candidate will be part of a worldwide team which will develop methods to produce libraries of small organic molecules for evaluation of their biological activities and the automation of these methods. A Ph.D. degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry and at least one year of experience in the production of chemical libraries of non-peptidic small molecules through solid-phase supported or solution-phase reactions are essential requirements. Special consideration will be given to those candidates with postdoctoral training or industrial experience in the automated production of non-peptidic chemical libraries. In addition, candidates must possess a thorough understanding of organic reaction mechanisms and synthetic methodology, and have demonstrated skills in the isolation of organic compounds and their characterization by spectral properties.
