Industrial News LARGEST ANNEALING FURNACE IIST THE WORLD

THE LARGEST annealing furnace of its kind in the world was recently placed in operation by the Struthers Wells-Titusville Corp. at its works in Warren, Pa. The furnace is of the car type and is to be used in stress-relieving fusion-welded pressure vessels and in annealing welded alloy steel equipment at temperatures as high as 2150° F. Its dimensions are 18 X 18 X 87 ft. and i t is capable of handling the largest and heaviest vessels the railroads can transport.
