The Lazyprobe spark sampler facili tates analysis of heavy and hard-to move objects. By discharging polar ized sparks the Lazyprobe transfers sample material to an electrode which can then be arced or sparked for the analysis. The method is particularly suitable for typing alloys or analyzing inclusions and with appropriate pre cautions, quantitative work is also possible.
