I t ’ s all done with optically coded discs which reproduce any IevelIflow relationship in weirs, flumes, or open streams- and give you better than 0.2% conversion accuracy. One easily changed disc works with all V-notch weirs (any angle, any size); another with all Cipolletti weirs; and more than 230 others are stocked for a variety of other installations. If we don’t have one for your setup, we’ll make it for you at no extra charge. There are two models of ISCO flow meters. The bubbler-tube Model 1700 hasa built-in compressor, and is ideal for temporary setups such as surveys or inflow and infiltration studies. The economical, float-operated Model 1530 is your best bet for permanent installation. Both models operate on either AC or rechargeable batteries and interface easily with an ISCO automatic sampler for flow proportional sample collection. A digital counter directly displays total flow in any desired volumetric unit: gallons, 1000 gallons, cubic feet, or whatever. A n accessory battery operated printer directly records accumulated volume. A 4” analog strip chart recorder is also available.
