For superior heat and stress resistance in your polyurethane-try Teracol instead of polyester glycol. Solid urethane wheel with TERACOL; running at 2 0 mph under a 120 lb. load, was still unaffected after 17 hours.

Wheel with polyester glycol, under identical 120 lb. and 2 0 mph conditions, failed within 13 minutes.

Du Font's polyether glycol extends life of urethane wheels under stress. Du Pont s TERACOL? polyether glycol adds outstanding dynamic properties not possible with polyester glycol, such as low hysteresis and high rebound, when used in most polyurethane formulations. For example, shown here are two identically-loaded, solid urethane wheels-one based on polyester glycol, the other on TERACOL. In a high stress test, the wheel formulated with polyester glycol melted and failed dramatically within 13 minutes. The wheel with TERACOL, benefitting from reduced rolling resistance as a result of its lower internal friction, was still unaffected 17 hours later when the test was halted. Du Pont offers three molecular weights-650 (a low-viscosity type which contributes to easy handling), 1000 and 2000. Discover all the important differences between TERACOL and a polyester glycol. Let us know which molecular weight you would like to try in your R&D lab. For a free sample, write on your letterhead to Dr. J.R. Harrison, Du Pont Co., Room G39608, Wilmington, DE 19898.
